Seeing as tomorrow is July 4th I thought it fitting for all of us natural divas to celebrate the freedom we found when we began our natural journey. The independence we won when we fought back and freed ourselves from the "creamy crack", revolted against the lie that in order to be beautiful we could only conform to one standard of beauty. Let us celebrate the freedom we have found in facing the world with our unique, natural beauty and the journey of self love that we are on. Stand tall, proud and regal. Unleash your Queen and inspire another sister to unleash her Queen. To those who think, " what's all this fuss about hair?!", we know that it is so much more than that. It is about acceptance, self love and moving away from the constant need of outside validation to determine your beauty, your strength, your worth.
